Women have strengths that amaze men.
They bear hardships and they carry burdens,
but they hold happiness, love and joy.

They fight for what they believe in.
They stand up to injustice.
They don't take 'no' for an answer
when they believe there is a better solution.
They go without so their family can have.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel
and cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear about
a birth or a wedding.
Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They grieve at the loss of a family member,
yet they are strong when they
think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss
can heal a broken heart.
Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.
They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you
to show how much they care about you.
The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep
turning.
They bring joy, hope and love.
They have the compassion and ideas.
They give moral support to their
family and friends.
Women have vital things to say
and everything to give.
HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN,
IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.

1.
Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile. It is the
ultimate anti-depressant. Playing sports is a good alternative.
2. Sit in
silence for at least 10 minutes each day. Buy a lock if you have to.
3. Record
your late night shows and get more sleep.
4. When you
wake up in the morning complete the following statement, "My purpose is
to____ today."

Live with the 3 E's-- Energy, Enthusiasm, and Empathy.
6. Watch
more movies, play more games and read more booksthan

7. Make time
to practice meditation, yoga, tai chi, and prayer. They provide us with daily
fuel for our busy lives.

more while you are awake.
10. Eat more foods
that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.
11. Drink green tea
and plenty of water. Eat blueberries, wild Alaskan salmon, broccoli, almonds
& walnuts .
12. Try to make at
least three peo! ple smile each day.
13. Clear your
clutter from your house, your car, your desk and let new and flowing energy
into your life .
14. Don't waste
your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires, issues of the past, negative
thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the
positive present moment.
15. Realize that
life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the
curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you
learn will last a lifetime.
16. Eat breakfast
like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a college kid.
17. Smile and laugh
more. It will keep the energy vampires away.
18. Life isn't
fair, but it's still good.
19. Life is too
short to waste time hating anyone.
20. Don't take
yourself so seriously. No one else does .
21. You don't have
to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

A lesson that should be taught in all
schools!
Back in September of 2005,
on the first day of school, Martha Cothren, a social
studies school teacher at
On the first day of school, with the permission of the school superintendent,
the principal and the building supervisor, she removed all of the desks out of
her classroom.
When the first period kids entered the room they discovered that there were no
desks.
Looking around, confused, they asked,
'Ms. Cothren, where're our desks?'
She replied, 'You can't have a desk until you tell me what you have done to
earn the right to sit at a desk.'
They thought, 'Well, maybe it's our grades.'
'No,' she said.
Maybe it's our behavior.' She told them, 'No, it's not even your behavior.
And so, they came and went, the first period, second period, third period. Still no desks in the classroom.
By early afternoon television news crews had started gathering in Ms. Cothren's classroom to report about this crazy teacher who
had taken all the desks out of her room.
The final period of the day came and as the puzzled students found seats on the
floor of the deskless classroom.
Martha Cothren said, 'Throughout the day no one has
been able to tell me just what he/she has done to earn the right to sit at the
desks that are ordinarily found in this classroom. Now I am going to tell you.'
At this point, Martha Cothren went over to the door
of her classroom and opened it.
Twenty-seven (27) U.S. Veterans, all in uniforms, walked into that classroom,
each one carrying a school desk. The Vets began placing the school desks in
rows, and then they would walk over and stand alongside the wall.
By the time the last soldier had set the final desk in place those kids started
to understand, perhaps for the first time in their lives, just how the right to
sit at those desks had been earned.
Martha said, 'You didn't earn the right to sit at these desks. These heroes did
it for you. They placed the desks here for you. Now, it's up to you to sit in
them. It is your responsibility to learn, to be good students, to be good
citizens. They paid the price so that you could have the freedom to get an
education. Don't ever forget it.'
By the way, this is a true story.... If you can read this, thank a teacher. If
you read it in English, thank a soldier.

Nails in the Fence

There once was
a little girl who had a bad temper. Her mother gave her a bag of nails and told
her that every time she lost her temper, she must hammer a nail into the back
of the fence.
The first day
the girl had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks, as she
learned to control her anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually
dwindled down. She discovered it was easier to hold her temper than to drive
those nails into the fence.
Finally the day came when the girl didn't lose her temper at
all. She told her mother about it and the mother suggested that the girl now
pull out one nail for each day that she was able to hold her temper. The day
passed and the young girl was finally able to tell her mother that all the
nails were gone. The mother took her daughter by the hand and led her to the
fence.
She said,
"You have done well, my daughter, but look at the holes in the fence. The
fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar
just like this one." You can put a knife in a person and draw it out. It won' t matter how many times you say I'm sorry, the wound is
still there. A verbal wound is as bad as a physical one. Friends are very rare
jewels, indeed. They make you smile and encourage you to succeed. They lend an
ear, they share words of praise and they always want to open their hearts to
us.

I
read of a man who stood to speak
At the funeral of a friend
He referred to the dates on her tombstone
From the beginning to the end
He
noted that first came the date of her birth
And spoke the following date with tears,
But he said what mattered most of all
Was the dash between those years
For
that dash represents all the time
That she spent alive on earth.
And now only those who loved her
Know what that little line is worth.
For
it matters not how much we own;
The cars, the house, the cash,
What matters is how we live and love
And how we spend our dash.
So
think about this long and hard.
Are there things you'd like to change?
For you never know how much time is left,

tree.
I hired a plumber to help me restore an old farmhouse,
and after he had just finished a rough first day on the job, a flat tire
made him lose an hour of work, his electric drill quit and his ancient one ton
truck refused to start.
While I drove him home, he sat in stony silence. On arriving, he invited
me in to meet his family. As we walked toward the front door, he paused briefly
at a small tree, touching the tips of the branches with both hands. When
opening the door, he underwent an amazing transformation ... His face was

a kiss.
Afterward he walked me to the car. We passed the tree, and my
curiosity got the better of me. I asked him about what I had seen him do

belong in the house with my wife and the children ... So I just hang them
up on the tree every night when I come home and ask God to take care of them.

Crack
and Flaws
An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of pole which she carried across her neck. One of the pots had a crack in while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water. At the end of the long walk from the stream to the house, the cracked Pot arrived only half full. For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do. After 2 years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the woman one day by the stream. "I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house." The old woman smiled, "Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot's side? That's because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table. Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house."
Each of us has our own unique flaw. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding. You've just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good in them.
